Alan Cooper\'s Homonym List- http://www.cooper.com/alan/homonym_list.html When I was in the second grade, my teacher introduced me to "homonyms," those words, like "caret" and "carrot" that are pronounced the same, but are spelled differently, and that have different meanings. The concept intrigued me, and for months, I maintained a dog-eared pad of yellow paper with an ever-growing list of homonyms.

  Internet Anagram Server- http://www.wordsmith.org/anagram/index.html An anagram is a word or phrase formed by reordering the letters of another word or phrase, such as satin to stain. At this site you input words or names and it will rearrange the letters into combinations of other words.

These daily puzzles for high-schoolers and adults come in five formats, playing with definitions, synonyms, antonyms, word ladder transformations, slang, even some history and geography. The games require a Java-enabled browser and are based on reference material from Merriam-Webster.
